The Gower Peninsular is Britain's First Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is renowned for its magnificent coastline of sandy beaches and imposing cliffs. It is a place to get away from it all and experience a truly magnificent landscape.
Applecroft is a detached cottage, situated on Quoits green in the heart of the idyllic village of Llanmadoc.
Applecroft has been extensively renovated and refurbished to a very high standard.
The aspect from the rear garden and patio area of the cottage is spectacular and breathtaking. This is the view over Cwm Ivy Tor.
It is a place where you can get away from it all and experience a truly magnificent landscape. There are uninterrupted views across Whiteford Beach, Carmarthen Bay and the Loughor Estuary with dramatic sea changes as the tide ebbs and flows over the Whiteford sand bank.
The cottage is ideal for walkers with spectacular cliff top views. There are easier coastal walks available or you can just have a relaxing break on our beautiful beaches and countryside. There is a Gower Explorer bus service available, which runs a regular service around the peninsular and into Swansea. (The bus stop is located on the village green). Applecroft offers comfortable accommodation for four guests and is suitable for holidaying all year round.
Enjoy lazy summer days cooking on the BBQ and enjoying a drink on the patio while watching the sun go down, or winter evenings sitting in front of the wood burning stove while looking out over the estuary at the twinkling lights of Burry Port.
If you are staying at Applecroft during the first Sunday in July you can enjoy a day out at Llanmadoc and Cheriton open gardens day. This event has been held for over 24 years and has raised over £100,000 for local charites. There are usually over 14 gardens open and home made teas and cakes are very popular. The village has won Swansea in Bloom many times.
